[sticky post]We would like to clarify that the SK team is a neutral party and only provides a platform for you to air your views on various topics related to stocks.

As an interim measure, posts on the discussion forum will only be closed or deleted if this is reported via the 'Report Abuse' link on each discussion post/topic. If a post gets reported as offensive by several people,it is more likely to be deleted.

Meanwhile,we are continuously refining the discussion forum to allow you to view categories of your choice among other improvements. This we hope will strike a balance between those of you who want to have only stocks on the forum, and those who are interested in more general (and hopefully related) topics such as politics and its effect on investments.

If you have any other comments and suggestions,do not hesitate to contact us. Email:  stocks(at)stockskenya.com.

more coming [stockskenya]

Actually, what we have just done is just a stop gap measure. More is coming in the near future. This step was taken to ensure the stocks discussions are not drowned out by the hot political discussions, which have taken a life of their own.

Happy Investing!

Could you give us an estimate on when this "stocks as default" will happen?

Everything on this site is fantastic as pertains to stock...except the "Discussions"!!

Is all in the simple things!!

Cool feature! SK,I guess you're playing (have to play?) 'big brother' with the thread categorisation.  Thank you.

Hi,

We have taken into consideration your suggestions. You can be able to restrict discussions to Stocks,Politics,Other Business,Other Investments,General Discussion,or alternatively choose to look at All Discussion topics. Do this by selecting the relevant discussion area from the drop down menu on the discussion forum.

We hope this will strike a balance between those interested in continuing with topics not directly related to stocks.

We however intend to have the default discussion area as Stocks.

As always we greatly appreciate feedback from you.

Separating Stock Only & General Discussions [Mocassin]

SK,thank you for providing this forum.

Given developments on this site in the recent past,SK kindly allow me to suggest a site feature alteration:

1. Have a 'Stocks Only' Tab - Under this tab, members would be advised to restrict thread creation & discussion to stocks and stock related matters only.

2. Have a 'General Discussions' Tab - Under this tab, allow members to dicuss other matters not necessarily related to stocks e.g. Cars,Politics,Pyramid Schemes,Technology etc.

I think the layout above will allow for a fine balance between the disparate and fluctuating SK member interests while retaining consideration for the prinicipal reason StocksKenya was incepted.

Just my humble suggestion. Thank you.

Well SK editors,...... you have done a good job so far,but it is inevitable that the political euphoria comes into the forums as well.

Dont let narrow minded individuals get to you; the major SK community realise that those accusations carried no water.

Keep up the good job.

PS: On the Watch List,Jubilee should be Jubilee Holdings Ltd. and not Jubilee Insurance
