Topic: ECK- Should Kivuitu be spared? - Jamgis  [28 views | 0 replies]
Wednesday, October 31, 2007 09:05

After appointing 5 commissioners and retaining two,one cant tell what the president is upto now.

Elections will be held only 25 days after the term of the current ECK chair expires. This means that if his tenure is not renewed,a new chairman will be appointed.

Some peple have declared Kivuitu must go - read- Kivuitu and co. while others are commanding that he must be retained for a free and fair election to be conducted.

MY question therefore is,if kivuitu is terminated, will elections be viewed to be free and fair or must the president bow to pressure and extend his tenure of office?
